Lease & Market Analysis

Combining Evidence With Lease Expertise

Effective rent review advice requires more than an assessment of current rental evidence. Our team considers the structure and wording of the lease, relevant comparable evidence, prevailing market conditions and the wider factors that may influence rental value.

We have experience of different lease structures and their implications at rent review, together with relevant rent review case law. Where appropriate, alternative methodologies may also be considered in developing and supporting a position.

Dispute Resolution

Negotiation & Third-Party Determination

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to present a well-supported position are central to the rent review process. Where an agreement cannot be reached, our technical experience extends to third-party procedures.

This includes matters referred to an Independent Expert, the preparation of a Precis of Evidence / Counter Submission, and Arbitration. Where an Arbitration is held orally, the process may require clear and competent argument together with the ability to challenge the content or relevance of opposing evidence.
